Create beautiful charts with your Airtable bases in 3 simple steps
Looking for a tool to create charts from your Airtable bases that update instantly whenever you make a change in Airtable? Check out this step-by-step guide on how to use GRID to make charts and reports from your Airtable bases.
Here's how to get started:
1. Connect your Airtable base to GRID by creating a new document and clicking "Add existing data". Select the bases you want to connect and grant GRID access.
2. You can choose the base you want to connect to GRID by clicking on the Airtable icon and selecting your desired base.
3. Now you're all set! Your chosen base should appear in the data panel. There are two ways to start building charts from your Airtable bases in GRID:
a. With the AI Chart Assistant: Simply describe your requirements for what you'd like your charts to display in plain English, and the Chart Assistant will automatically generate the chart and graph for you.
b. With the Chart Builder: Start by selecting the chart type and column from your base that you would like to display or aggregate on the X-axis and Y-axis. Customize your chart by changing the color and adding narrative to your document, and voila! you're good to go.
If you’d like to embed or share your charts, we recommend reading our embed guide. You can also learn how to embed your charts and graphs back into Airtable by following the tutorial in this guide.
